Resin bound materials

Resin bound surfaces are a blend of 100% naturally formed kiln dried aggregates mixed thoroughly with UV stable polyurethane resin. Each particle of aggregate is completely covered in resin to form an architecturally solid, resilient, and porous surface. This mixture is then hand trowelled to give a smooth flat surface which is hard wearing yet flexible and crack resistant.

The benefits:

  • Quick installation: It is a quick and easy process and most small projects can be completed within a day.
  • Flexible design: The resin is available in a range of colours, and can be used to create contrasting borders and incorporate features such as your house number or particular design elements. We can also add texture to the design using other materials.
  • Anti-slip: Our surfaces are slip resistant and meet the BS 7976-2 guidelines.
  • Low maintenance and resistant: The resin surface is crack resistant and suppresses weed growth and an annual power wash will keep it looking pristine. Further, it is weather resistant. The permeability of the surface allows drainage, thereby reducing puddles and slippage. The colour won't fade in the sun nor will the resin bound surface soften.
  • Longevity: When installed correctly resin bound surfaces can last up to 20 years. To protect the finish, we offer servicing with our product Drive Restore, a hardwearing and economical UV stable polyurethane sealer. This provides a tough layer of glossy sealant to restore and extend the look of driveways, paths, and patios. We are able to offer this service annually or as required.
  • Guarantee: For your peace of mind, the resin manufacturer provides a Lifetime Colour Lock Guarantee with Resin Bound UVR PRO when installed in line with quality installation standards. It certifies that the colour of the polyurethane resin will not change when using the UV stable resin.

Silicone based rendering

Responsive image

As the leading silicone-based render solution, K Rend has been offering an extensive range of high-quality external silicone renders and finishes for over 28 years. As an authorised installer, we work directly with K Rend to import materials to the Island, supply the product warranty and technical support.

Silicone based render has the advantages of providing a durable weatherproof coating and a natural finish. This is popular on the Island due to the cost benefits compared to maintaining a painted render finish.

The K Rend silicone range incorporates silicone water repellents as an integral part of the cement based render system.

This silicone technology imparts a high degree of water repellency to the render surface whilst allowing water vapour to pass through the render allowing the substrate to breathe.

The water repellent surface ensures a freshly rendered appearance for a prolonged period. The finish is drier and thus more resistant to algae growth and the natural phenomenon of lime bloom.

The benefits:
  • Water repellent
  • Low maintenance
  • Structure can breathe
  • Natural looking finish
  • Extensive colour range
  • Choice of textures
  • Resists cracking
  • Optional exterior insulation
